Our Story

Simply Provincial was born from a deep love of comfort, craft, and beauty of things made by hand.

Growing up, my grandmothers often made me pieces of clothing, and my mum had her own way of creating too. She made cushion covers and art that filled our home with warmth. Those handmade pieces weren’t just objects; they carried stories, memories, and a sense of nostalgia that still lingers.

As I grew older, my grandmothers and mum began passing down pieces from their own wardrobes - garments they had worn as young women. Each one had stood the test of time, softened with age, and carried a beauty that couldn’t be replicated. Wearing them gave me confidence and a sense of individuality, reminding me that clothing can hold meaning beyond the moment.

Some of my fondest memories are from evenings with my best friend, when we’d rush home after long days, slip into our pyjamas, share snacks, and talk for hours about everything and nothing. It was our ritual, a moment of comfort, laughter, and belonging that felt like home. That simple joy of changing into something soft and familiar always brought me a sense of peace; a feeling I still carry every time I put on my pyjamas. It wasn’t just the comfort of the fabric, but the togetherness it represented: the laughter, the food, and the joy of those days with my best friend that made everything feel safe, light, and full of belonging.

Combined with the heirloom pieces passed down from my grandmothers and mum - garments that had stood the test of time and carried their own stories - those moments shaped the heart behind Simply Provincial. I wanted to create garments that hold both of those feelings: the comfort and joy of home, and the enduring beauty of pieces made to last.

To bring this vision to life, I chose to work with home-based tailors who sew each piece with the same care and intention.
